Founded in 1945, The Stage Club is Singapore’s oldest theatre company. It is a non-profit community theatre, is open to all and can provide rewarding experiences on-stage, off-stage, pre-production, post-production and just plain social. For the past seventy years, it has presented an average of five productions a year, covering the best of theatre in the English language. Recent productions have been staged at the Alliance Francaise and the DBS Arts Centre. Our repertoire includes comedy, farce, melodrama, thrillers, musicals, classic plays – both historical and modern – and, of course, straight drama. As part of our commitment to the community, we regularly stage O and A level set texts. Recent examples have been Twelfth Night, The Caretaker, The Rivals and Hedda Gabler.
